Merle is about as politically incorrect as a guy can get. He is callous to a fault, with the darkest sense of humour you ever saw. He has no problem saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Permanent case of "athlete's tongue".
He is a dyed-in-the-wool Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. He bleeds green.
He is the official statistician for the team, forever quibbling over assists and changing the scoresheet. Oddly enough, the assists always seem to go his way.
One of the best players on the team.
